Trust-Flow-and-Citation-Flow-of-A-Website

Do you confused about the trust flow and citation flow of a website? Thinking of that, in this article we are going to tell you about trust and citation flow in detail. In this article, you will learn how trust flow and citation flow can help your site in improving SEO.

This is the part of an advanced SEO that directly affects your off-page SEO. If you haven’t yet checked the TF (trust flow) and CF (citation flow) of your website or have not paid any attention to them, then it can affect the performance of your site badly.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO FOCUS ON TRUST FLOW AND CITATION FLOW?

There will be a very few bloggers who check the trust flow and citation flow metric of their blog and create backlinks for their blog accordingly.

At the same time, almost every blogger knows that creating quality backlinks helps bring any website to the top, but I would say that without linkback, no blog can become popular in a short time.

But you must have seen that google and other search engines are becoming very smart and strict day-by-day. A recent example is the update named Google Fred, which has ended many blogs. Due to the SEO loss which was caused, they are still engaged in recovering it.

If those bloggers had made backlinks for the website according to the trust and citation flow metrics, then they would not have been harmed by any Google algorithm update.

The reason for this is that if you check the domain authority of a website, then we should also know that the MOZ website replaces the domain authority of any blog once a month, while TF and CF are calculated per day.

Now, when you start making links to increase the domain authority (DA) of your blog, and for a few days you keep checking the authority of your site and then you think that even after creating so many backlinks, the domain authority of your website or blog is not improving; WHY? So the answer is simple that Moz website provides domain authority only once in a month.

For instance, if you create some backlinks today, then you will get to see their effect on the DA of your blog after just one month.

But, if you go to Majestic Explorer Tool and check the trust flow and citation flow of your blog, then you get to see the impact of these links in Majestic metrics according to the links you created every day. This gives you an idea of how much the links made by us are benefiting and how much loss is being done.

WHAT IS TRUST FLOW IN MAJESTIC TOOL?

Trust flow metrics defines the quality and relevancy of blog backlinks and tells whether the links pointed to your blog are high quality links or low quality links.

Meaning with the help of trust flow graph, we can well-understand about the backlinks quality report of our blog. If you link back your blog from low and poor authority websites then you will not show anything in trust flow metrics or will show in low trust flow graph.

If the TF of a blog is not at all means it is zero and lots of backlinks have been created then your blog may have to face the risk of Google penalties in the future.

The more you make links from the higher authority websites, the better TF will be there. Those who are professional bloggers make links for their website keeping in mind the trust flow and citation flow.

The higher the trust flow of the blog, the more its authority will improve and will provide a better rank in SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages) as well.

WHAT IS CITATION FLOW IN MAJESTIC TOOL?

It has no relation with the quality of backlinks, rather it tells how many links have been pointed to your blog. In citation flow metrics, you can see the percentage of number of links, just like trust flow.

It does not represent the quality of links like trust flow. It only sees how many links are pointed to a web page, how many root domains are there.

If the trust flow of a blog is 10 and the citation flow is 70, then it should be understood that the negative SEO effect on the blog is high because trust flow is very low and citation flow is very high.

This simply means that a lot of low quality links are pointed at that blog and we all know that the blog on which low quality links are high, the risk of Google’s algorithm penalty is higher.

HOW TO CHECK TRUST FLOW AND CITATION FLOW IN MAJESTIC TOOL?

If you want to check the trust and citation flow of your website, then you will have to install the Majestic Backlink Analyzer Tool Extension in your browser because I am also using it myself. You can easily download and install it by typing it in the Google.

HOW TO MANAGE TRUST FLOW AND CITATION FLOW FOR YOUR BLOG?

When we do link building for our blog, it should always be kept in mind that the trust flow and citation flow ratio of the website from which we want to take the link back should be equal or a little more or less, but it should not happen that TF is 20 and CF is 80.

Rather you should focus only on the trust flow and increase it as much as possible, there is no need to increase citation flow, it automatically gets increase.

If you think that improving citation flow will improve trust flow then it is absolutely wrong because improving trust flow depends on your links quality and relevancy, citation flow has no relation to trust flow.

If you really want to improve the trust flow of your blog, then you just have to create high quality backlinks for your blog or website. And when your website’s trust flow increases then the citation flow also increases properly.

And, as I have already mentioned above in the article that you should focus only on the trust flow improvement so that the blog gets a place on the top of the search results, in this way the organic traffic of the blog increases tremendously.

TRUST FLOW AND CITATION FLOW RATIO:

Now, let us tell you a little bit about technical, trust flow and citation flow ratio that what is the better ratio of TF and CF on any blog.

If you want to optimize the trust and citation flow of the blog then the average trust flow and citation flow ratio should be 0.5 and the highest is 0.9.

Now if the trust flow and citation flow ratio of a blog is 20:60 then it is absolutely harmful for your blog’s SEO because according to some professional bloggers the CF should not be more than twice the TF.

If the trust flow of a website is 10 and the citation flow is also 10, then the ratio will be 1 which is very good. If the trust flow is 15 and citation flow metric is 30, then in this situation there will be no negative impact on your blog SEO, but only benefit will be available, meaning Google accepts this ratio.
